“We had a great time.  We loved spending time with the animals and away from the city’s hustle and bustle.  And everyone at the Sanctuary made us feel welcome.  It was a great way to spend Jess’ birthday.  We will see you again!  Thank you.” Peter and Jessica Levine, Staten Island

“We love the Woodstock B&B! What a peaceful, relaxing and beautiful experience staying here was. Thanks to Shelia, Mike, Jenny, Doug, the kitties and all the farm critters for being so awesome! I wish I could stay forever, but we will return soon. Congratulations on creating the perfect haven for stressed out New Yorkers!” Marcus, NYC

“Thank you so much for having us at the B&B! The Olivia Room is so great, and we loved sharing the bed with super sweet Leon. Waking up to see the animals out enjoying life is the best thing ever. Great way to spend a birthday!” Melissa and Emily, Jersey City

“The Guesthouse is pure heaven. The room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The farm is inspiring and it was great to wake up and see the animals grazing about…The breakfast was just right. We loved all the special care we received from our hosts and enjoyed seeing the farm in action with all the working staff and volunteers.” Larry, Erica, and Sam, Brooklyn

“The work that is done at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is simply inspirational and I cannot thank you, Jenny, Doug, Sheila, and the entire team for providing peace, harmony and a loving home for all of the beautiful animals you have taken in. Maryam and I are both blessed to have been able to see them and to hear the wonderful stories that all of the volunteers were only too happy to share. God bless and thanks again for making our stay special. I wish we had suggestions on how to make it better, but it’s impossible to improve upon perfection.” Paul Raffin

“The B&B is warm & welcoming and came out beautifully. Spectacular view from the front porch of the goat pasture & mountain as a backdrop. What a great way to start your day while sipping some tea and gazing out. We found that the bed was very comfortable & nicely appointed. The whole place is immaculate & I love the layout.” David and Sheri, Brooklyn

After over a year of eco-friendly renovations to our pre-Civil War farmhouse, Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary is proud to present The Guesthouse.  This über-charming B&B is owned and operated by the Sanctuary, thanks to a wonderful and generous supporter who purchased it. The profits earned go directly to the care of our 200+ rescued farm animals and to our advocacy work on behalf of farmed animals everywhere.

The Guesthouse currently offers a hearty, serve-yourself vegan continental breakfast, the luxury of restored claw foot tubs with showers, free WiFi, live rooster “alarm clocks” next door—with all of our other wonderful rescued farm animal friends just steps away! You won’t believe the view from the covered porch, where you can kick back in rocking chairs and watch the sun set over the Catskill Mountains with happy animals roaming in the pastures. Note that if you’re allergic to cats this is not the place for you (see below).

Due to some kooky IRS regulations for nonprofits you must be a member of WFAS to stay at The Guesthouse, but membership is very affordable and entitles you to other benefits which quickly offset the cost. Because membership is tax-deductible and the room isn’t, they need to be separate transactions and you will need to become a member before booking the room.

The Guesthouse warmly welcomes well-behaved canine companion animals on a case-by-case basis for an additional $15 per night. They must remain on leash and with their guardians on site at all times and cannot venture on to shelter grounds. All visiting dogs must also be cat-friendly as The Guesthouse is home to resident cats Errol and Leon.

You can use our online booking system to check availability or make a reservation. Alternatively, you can contact us via phone for reservation assistance or questions at (845) 679-6928 (please, no calls after 8pm).

Below are the two rooms that we are currently booking. The rooms are named after beloved farm animal friends who are no longer with us but who have inspired us deeply.

If you require wheelchair access we can most likely accommodate you with advance notice, although we are not 100% ADA compliant. Please inquire for details.
